Ninja Fall-off-the-Bone Ribs

Writer's picture: Judy HaskellJudy Haskell

Easy, tasty, fall-off-the-bones pork ribs. One rack takes about

50 minutes from prep to table.

Two racks takes about 53 minutes.

Pork ribs are lower in fat, cholesterol and contain more nutrients than beef ribs. Even so, we treat ourselves to pork ribs maybe once every 6 to 8 weeks, as our primary meat source continues to be fish, chicken, and turkey.

Goes great with my cole slaw!

INGREDIENTS:

1 rack baby back pork ribs

1 cup unsalted chicken stock

1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tsp liquid smoke

2 tsps McCormick Grill Mates Applewood Rub

BBQ sauce of choice (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Add liquids inside your Ninja (or similiar) pressure cooker pot.

Add the trivet or rack in high position so the ribs are not sitting in liquid.

Prepare ribs by removing thin membrane on the back side of ribs and rub the spice on both sides, along with a few grinds of the pepper mill. Cut ribs into 3rds and place on trivet or metal rack standing in a circular fashion.

Set on HI Pressure Cooker mode for 22 minutes.** Be sure vent is sealed so it comes up to pressure in about 20 minutes.

Once it reaches pressure, the timer starts counting down from 22 minutes.

When the time is up, the timer beeps and starts to count up. Allow the cooker to naturally release pressure over the next 5 minutes.

Then, CAUTIOUSLY swing open the vent to release any remaining pressure.

Remove your delicious ribs with tongs (rubberized tips) & eat as is

OR

Place on foil lined baking sheet, brushed with some bbq sauce and broil no more than 2 minutes in your oven's broiler.

YUM!!!

**25 minutes for two racks
