Holiday Cranberry Sauce

Sweetness and some tartness with an addition of aromatic cinnamon, brings a colorful, delightful cranberry sauce to any holiday table! Serves up to 12.


INGREDIENTS:


  1. 12 oz bag fresh cranberries

  2. 1/2 cup water

  3. 1/2 cup orange juice

  4. 1/2 cup sugar

  5. 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  6. 1 Tbsp honey


DIRECTIONS:


Bring water, juice, and sugar to a low boil.

Add cranberries and stir occassionally until they begin to pop.

Reduce heat to a lower temperature and continue stirring until cranberries have softened and sauce has thickened for the next 7 to 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and add cinnamon and honey. Stir thoroughly to combine.


Allow to cool for 5 or 10 minutes, then place in a covered bowl in the refrigerator. It can be stored for the next 7 days.
